No Restore point in system restore

there is no restore point in system restore my system get virus after i run a scan with Norton Anti virus 2007 and after i restart my computer i find my start menu is disappear i get it back some
how thin i try to restore my computer to back date
i find all my restore point are gone i search the
hard disk i find them on i:\system volume information please is there is any way to get them
back in system restore
