No sound

No sound from the computer. Tried 2 operating systems, verified the speakers, changed sound cards, changed motherboards, changed memory chips,changed speakers. All that remains constant is the Cd Player and the CPU. Both Win XP and Win 2K hvae no sound.

Any iseas?
