Hello all,
I have a 30gig Maxtor UDMA 66 drive @7200 rpm’s. I have windows ME and BeOS installed already. When i boot off my linux 6.1 disk and do a kickstart install i cant get past disk druid. I try and make a Native Linux partition and if i setthe mount point as “/” w/o the quotes which i though you were supposed to do, it says there is not enough disk space. I already have 5 dos partitions on the hard drive (1 primary 1 extended split into 4 logical )and I still have 15gb free. But if i attempt to make a native linux partition with the mount point of say “/Linux” it will create the partition fine but the os wont install on that cause it says it needs a “/” partition. I have only installed linux a few times so im by no means an expert. Am i just being stupid and i dont know it? Can someone shed some light on this subject?
