We’ll be deploying new Alerts functionality today. There could be spotty feature failures in
Community for approximately 30 minutes during this upgrade.
We’re changing the system that handles subscriptions to Questions and Discussions. This should be seamless for you, meaning that you shouldn’t lose any subscriptions or have email alerts service interrupted.
You will notice that you’ll begin receiving updates with a different look and feel. We’ll be improving that template soon, so any suggestions for formatting, etc. will be considered.
You’ll see a new “edit subscriptions” link on Discussions/Questions to which you’ve subscribed. When you choose to edit, you’ll have new options for how you receive updates. HTML or text, combined or individual notices, hourly, daily, etc. The default one-click subscription for threads will be HTML, daily, combined alerts. Of course, you’ll still be able to see your list of “Questions subscribed to” and “Discussions subscribed to” by using the filters at right on your My Forum Posts page: https://www.techrepublic.com.com/5268-11518-0.html . Notice that an “Edit Subscriptions” link has been added to the bottom of these lists.
