Novell 5.0 DNS/DHCP

I’m trying to set up my server to resolve Domain names. Under DNS I’ve setup my server and I have setup my zones with an A record. The problem is when I try and setup my MX record for this A record. It tells me that it doesn’t exsist. I know it does because I’m looking right at it. I had this working but needed to reimage my server.
