Novell Login With RAS

by steveb . Updated 23 years, 11 months ago

We are trying to set up laptops running Win2K Pro to dial-in to a RAS server. The laptops have Novell Client 4.81 installed and are setup as members of the domain so that Exchange e-mail can be accessed. Is there any way to either bypass the Novell login at start up (Novell is required for access to their network drives) so that the user could launch the Novell login after they were connected to the RAS (which they have to do anyway to map their drives), or to have Novell default to logging into the local computer rather than attempting to log in on the domain and generating a “domain controller not found” error? I realize that the user can just select the advanced tab on Novell and change from the domain to the local computer, but I would prefer a solution that doesn’t require user intervention (and my time explaining over and over again how to log in).
