Novell network

A friend of mine has a Novell server and uses Novell 4.9 client on XP workstations. Since getting new workstations with the new Novell client her HP 8000 DN printer is printing an extra page at the beginning of each print job. The separator page is off and this doesn’t happen when an older computer on her network prints. The older computers have an older Novell client, 2.something. She has tried changing drivers for the printer to everything that seems to be available and it keeps doing the same thing. I even had her change to protocal order with no luck.
Ideas????
