Hopefully, this will be an easy answer for some of you who have worked with Win 2000 for a while now. Here’s my problem, I am getting ready to deploy Windows 2000 Prof. on a computer lab in my district where many different users will be logging on/off daily. Here’s the kick: our LAN uses Novell BUT for some reason, when a user logs in using the client (version 4.8), Microsoft’s autologon apparently is disabled! Without Novell, it’s a breeze….you set the machine to automatically log on a user and that’s that. With Novell, even though a user is set to automatically log on to the station (no password for the user), whenever a different person logs onto the Novell client, windows asks for a desktop login as well.
HELP!! I need to have these machines able to have anyone log into the Novell client without asking them to provide a seperate password to enter the desktop (especially since there is a box that allows the users to match the desktop login with their Novell password…..(NOT GOOD)
