nslookup Failed

When I do a nslookup from any of my machines I recive the following message:

*** Can’t find server name for address 192.168.1.254: Non-existent domain
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.254

If I go to the server a do it; it works. I have a reverse DNS zone.
