NT 4 and large hard disks

I am setting up an NT 4 BDC that will eventually replace the current PDC. This BDC has two 40 GIG hard disks, but NT 4 reads them as 8 GIG. I plan to reinstall NT to get these reconfigured correctly, but am not sure how to go about that. Any advice is appreciated!
