NT change size of drives

I would like to change the size of the drives on an NT machine that is used as a backup pc.
Currently the c drive is about 500 meg and the d drive is 7 gig. I would like to take a gig away from the D drive and give it to the C drive. How to do? Anyone have any ideas??I dont want to have to reinstall etc,
