NT hangs after character based mode of i

I am experiencing Setup Failure During Reboot from Character-based to GUI-based Mode. In Character-based mode I have completed setup successfully (with boot floppies and the CD) then told to remove any floppies or CD’s then reboot. But the computer hangs right after POST. What gives? Once again your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
