NT Installation from floppies

When attempting to install NT from the 3 boot disks the installtion comes to the point where disk partitioning and formatting takes place, but cannot recognize the physical disk installed. I receive the error indicating no partition for installationhas been detected. This only happens when attempting to install from floppies. When installing directly from the CD- no problem. Just curious as to what this could be.
