NT network ‘chatter’ ??

I support a single NT 4.0 server network with 25 win98 pc’s. For short periods on an irregular basis, the response time becomes maxed out.

I suspect a ‘chattering’ nic, as the collision indicator on the hub comes on steady.

Because it comesand goes so randomly, I haven’t been able to catch the culprit. I’ve tried some diagnostics, and still haven’t had any luck.

Any suggestions?
