NT Spooler.exe error

I have an NT network with an HP8100 printer. Everything MS prints fine but when someone tries to print from a third party software (MRI)”an application error in Dr. Watson….spooler.exe”.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer from the network and workstations.

Any clues anyone?
