NT workstation on HP Pavilion 8655c

I want to load Windows NT Workstation on a HP Pavilion 8655c. It has failed in the past due to the CD and CD-R drivers need to be updated and I have been unable to find that info. Also the Linksys Ethernet Card(LNE100TX) fails to work with this machine. This is for a small home network. Any suggestions or directions to go in would be helpful!
