I’ve set up shares on my desktop pc to be accessed by my laptop as well as my roommates laptops. The folders are shared, and I’m trying to give access to the shares to the laptops.
On the desktop, is there a way I can add the laptop user accounts such that it asks for a password, or do I have to create identical username/passwords on the desktop pc?
Creating identical username/passwords on the desktop will work, but I’d rather have an added layer of security with a password prompt.
I’m thinking this should be in the Locations window, but it only sees the local pc. I’m also fairly certian I’ve been able to do this in the past. All computers are on the same workgroup, and they are all visible in my network places.
