Office 2000 SR1a Update

Why, since I have installed SR1a update, does every program in Office stop running after 3 seconds? They just start, wait 3 seconds and shut down. Word just sits there, you can’t do anything and then it shuts down. Outlook will contact the server start to gather mail and (yep) shut down.

Any suggestions?
