Office 2003 – Hyperlinking defaul to drive letter?

Is it possible to stop Office from defaulting hyperlinks to a drive letter and change it to a server name:

I want to change:

H:\Logs\Interview_with_Jeff_Mangum

to

\\srvrname\volume\logs\Interview_with_Jeff_Mangum
