Office to Office Networking – ADVICE please

by csimpson . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

Hi guys,

Looking to improve network connections between our sub offices but I don’t have a clue where to start. Have had basic network experience but nothing like what I want to try and do.

I’m sure it’s possible but I don’t know how.

My MD has asked to approach a consultant he’s used previously, and just wanted a little advice before I did, so that I wasn’t going in cold and not fully understanding what he was offering!

We have 2 sub offices, which currently dial in over vpn to access various systems.

Basically what i want is to have all offices directly linked to our main head office servers, without having the rigmarole of having to connect vpns etc…….so that when users login they are directly accessing the head office system and all documents etc are being stored locally to the head office for backup/security. We also use scanning equipment at each site, which need to be saving locally to head office, again for backup/security

Think this covers the basic gist of what i’m trying to achieve!

All advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!
