I’ve lost access to files that had been made available offline when my Win2K Pro system was configured ( removed) out of the domain and into a workgroup. Reconfiguring it back to the domain did not help. It seems like a different user profile got configured on the system when it was configured for the WG. A general search of those files using the “search tool” even in other existing folders under “Documents and Settings” was negative.
The machine had been used for quite some time while offline hence the copies of the files on the server are out dated. The offline status windows indicates that “only local copies of certain files are available” When the link is clicked, hopefully to access the files, a message comes up to the effect thatthe path cannot be found. I researched on the Internet and found that offline files are kept in the hidden folder “C:\Winnt\CSC”. I accessed that folder but the information is in a different format.
I need help to gain back access to these files.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
