Offline Files in Windows Vista Business

I am trying to enable offline files to synch to my home server from my WVB laptop. I have enabled Offline files but the service will not run. The Offline Files applet tells me to restart my computer to activate it, but nothing happens. I went into Services and the service is stopped. When I enable it, I receive the following error: “Windows could not start the Offline Files Service on Local Computer.” Dependencies are RPC, which is running.

Any thoughts?

I am not on a domain, but a workgroup.
