Offsite Media Storage

I am looking into offsite storage of backup tapes and would like to benefits from the experience of others.

My primary question/concern is the lack of any liability for security of stored media taken by the companies that offer such services. All seem to have disclaimers of any responsibility/liability in case of media loss/destruction, even in cases of their employees’ negligence.

Any thoughts? Am I being overly concerened?
