Hello, I figure I would put this in here since it starts on the NT 4.0 side. The question of the day is HOW to upgrade an Small Business Server 4.5 to a 2000 server. No comments on the SBS, it’s for a customer. Anyhow MS say’s it CAN NOT be done,but as will all there comments, I find it hard to believe. The 2000 upgrade detects the SBS and will NOT install. I am not concerned with all the BS that comes with it, ie Modem server, proxy, faxserver etc, and I can manually migrate the exchangeto 2000. I have tried disabling the license service, editing the registry and pulling all the sbs version info from the Local Machine. This is more of a quest than anything. Give it a shot and let me know!! The points are worth it!!
