Old Computer

I’ve got a computer that just won’t turn on. I meane that, the computer comes on but, the monitor won’t do anything. Although I did notice that the light on the monitor will turn green once on but, when I hook up it up to the back of the computer the light turns red. What can I do to fix this problem? I have tried to hook up another monitor I have and it too did not come on.
