Old NEC Printer question

I recently got my hands on an old NEC Silentwriter SuperScript 610plus laser printer, with the 95/98 drivers included. After installing the printer on a 166 megahertz pentium, running win98 w/ 96 megs of ram, it seemed to work fine. Then I picked upthe comp and printer and moved them to another room (gently),now when I try to print, I get the message, “Printer off or not connected.” I’ve been to NEC’s website, and did what they sugested (“unseat and reseat the cable several times on the printer side”). I’ve switched cables, computers, reinstalled the drivers, etc, and I can’t get the thing to print. Any suggestions?
