oleaut32.dll
We have a win98 second edition machine that has Office2000 and was updated to Explorer5.5 this machine would have an invalid page fault upon exiting Internet Explorer with Oleaut32.dll listed, So we replaced this with from a similar machine rebooted everything seemed fine no more Invalid page faults until about a week later when Word was opened then the display box said the oleaut32.dll was outdated and needed to be updated. So I found another machine and booted into DOS renamed copied in new file booted into windows Word works now Explorer works then rebooted machine word still works but explorer now has the original problem back My question do I need to extract it from a cab file to get an original for this particular machine and if so how do I keep it from being corrupted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I received a response saying that this file is located on the Office 2000 CD but I could not find it and need to know which cab file it is located, what would I use to view it in the cab file and after installing Office 2000 does it copy over this file or does it use this just to installer IE5.0 if it is not already on the machine. Ok if I wanted to try this does anybody know where the oleaut32.dll is located on the Office 2000 disk and does anybody have a good way of searching cab files to find these .dll’s when they are buried in cab files
