Network:
Ethernet 10/100, cat5, 3Com & netgear nics, SMC 8port Hub. Win 98 & Win 95 workgroup 5 computersComputer1 has D: drive that holds shared folder for Workgroup. The apps accessing shared folder on D:, Office 2000 Pro, MS Schedule+ in workgroup mode, Accounting software that uses Computer1 as server, computer2 thru 5 are clients.
Problem:
Computer1 has Word doc open, Computer2 has Word doc open, Computer3 has Publisher file open. All computers have Schedule+ running, Computer3 gets illegal operation and hangs, Computer1 & 2 hang also, can not use ctrl-alt-del Must power down all and restart to get back up and running. Computers 4&5 are not affected. This has occured intermitently but is getting more frequent. It has also occured when files are just open but idle and no Invalid page faults. Usually just Comp1 & Comp2.
