One WiFi Router, 2 IP ranges each with 2 PCs…

by bril . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is possible.

I have one Wifi Router which will be used as a gateway for Internet access (e.g. IP: 192.168.1.1 subet: 255.255.255.0).

There are 4 PCs for which I want to use 2 different IP ranges e.g.:

PC1 -> 192.168.1.10 subnet 255.255.255.0
PC2 -> 192.168.1.11 subnet 255.255.255.0

PC3 -> 192.168.10.10 subnet 255.255.255.0
PC4 -> 192.168.10.11 subnet 255.255.255.0

Is is possible to hook up all 4 PCs to the Wifi router and assign the Wifi router address as the default gateway??

I know this will work for PC1 and PC2.
But for PC3 and PC4 I am not sure.

Is there anything else that needs to be done on the Wifi router to accomodate PC3 and PC4, so that they can have Internet access??

Thanks in advance,
