I have started a couple posts in regard to certifications versus degree. In those posts people made good points that a degree was a better option with a mixture of certifications. I am currently in the process of reseaching options for getting my BS (I have my AAS). I have come to the conclusion that the only way for me to go back school to get my degree will be via some type of online program. With my current job (IT contractor) and family duties I do not have the option for attending a regular classroom type setting, although I would prefer this method. I have looked at both the Universtity of Phoenix Online as well as Herzing College Online (they have a campus in the city I work). Can someone give me some thoughts or even personal experience with these online degree programs? Does anyone have addtional recommendations offered by other institutions that may be better? I want a quality experience and somethings that has some weight and not something from a diploma mill (Kennedy-Western). Thanks for listening.
