Oracle 10g Data Pump Export

We are looking at importing about a Terabye of data into our Oracle 10 database, and I am trying to come up with the best possible way to pull this off. I’ve been doing some reading online and the data pump export / import looks pretty attractive. I would like to get some insight about your past experiences with data pump export. Has anybody tried it with large volumes of data? How did it go? Were there any problems?
