ORACLE and SQL SERVER INTEGRATION

My boss wants us to integrate an oracle and sql server databases. Oracle database sits on linux red hat while the sql sits on Windows server 2003. Security is very critical here.

What are the technical and other issues to consider/watch out for. Any advantages / disadvantages to be aware of before hand?
Some one to assist, any other tips most welcome.
