OS Not Found

I have a Compaq Presario that’s probably about 3 or 4 years old. I moved it from the kitchen table to my son’s room. Before it was working just fine, but when I moved it this time and turned it on, I hear a clicking sound from inside the tower and I get a message telling me that there is no operating system found. Will somebody please help me?
