outllook 2003 and exchange server 2003

hello,
we have a few users that are permanently disconnected from the exchange server 2003 on their desktop. OWA works fine but the remote connection to terminal server gives “unable to open defualt mail folder” error.These users are connected to the main site via vpn tunnels.
does anyone have any solution? i have already tried deleting the profile from control panel.
