I have a Windows 2003 R2 Terminal server 64bit, Office Pro 2003 volume license and Exchange 2007. Both servers are on vmware ESX3 on the same physical box. Everything but one thing works great.
The problem is that Outlook 2003 keeps getting an error that the exchange server is unavailable. I can ping it and even access network shares on it.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
I have some additional information.
If I log on through the vmware console outlook works. If I login through the RDP clinet it does not.
Thanks again.
More info:
Another bit of info is that if Outlook was original attempted to be setup in the RDP session the profile must be reconfigured to start working again. Also, if it was first configured from the console and it does work that way, then tried in the RDP session the when trying to open Outlook is “Unable to open default e-mail folers. The attempt to log on th the Microsoft Exchange Server computer failed.” If you try to open the mail applet in control panel in the x86 folder, it says the Microsoft Exchange server is unavailable when trying to setup a new profile.
Thanks for the help.
Anyone?????
