Mail Server is Exchange 2003. User is Windows XP SP2, MS Office 2000 with Outlook 2003.
The user called and said that some of her new messages were being delivered to the Deleted Items folder instead of her Inbox.
My first thoughts were:
1. User error. She had accidentally deleted them herself whilst moving between applications or vieing / moving other emails to folders. The user was adamant that she had not.
2. Message rules. Checked and there are no message rules in place at all.
3. Blocked senders. There are no blocked senders and the sender was someone that she has email contact with regularly.
The issue is intermittent and does not happen with all messages.
I have trawled the web and found very few instances of the same issue reported, none of which have an answer to resolve the problem.
I’ve tried MS Technet and have not been able to find any article that comes close to the same problem.
Any help or advice would be really appreciated.
Tony
