Outlook 2007 does not work with Image Maps?

I have had problems with Outlook 2007 not working with image maps. Although the documentation says that it works, here is what I have found:

* Server side image maps do not work at all.
* Client side image maps may not work in certain cases.

I have worked with someone who has tried to install a signature with client side image mapping and this was being dropped in emails that I was sent.

Does anyone know a fix or the status of any Microsoft bug fixes on this?
