Outlook and changing time zones

by mkaufer . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

So I’ve done some research and I know that I can see 2 time zones in my calendar if I want. The problem (ahem..challenge) that I am trying to solve is this: I’m in LA, I need to schedule a meeting with NY reps – I send a meeting request for 3pm but when it arrives in NY it’s 6pm. Isn’t there any easy way – instead of having to calculate for multiple time zones. I could be inviting someone from Asia to take part. Then I have to calculate for everyone’s time zone….grrrrrrrrr.
All the white papers say that Outlook should be using UTC time or whatever that is. I simply want to select EST, CMT or Pacific etc. So if I set an appointment in Asia I’m counting – subtracting – why can’t they make it easy. In Entourage you can select which time zone the meeting takes place in. IF Microsoft can do it for the MAC what about for the PC?
Anyone have a lead on an add-in….please help! My boss travels 20-28 days out of the month – half of which are out of the country. HE uses Entourage but I however am stuck on Outlook. Frustrated! Please help!
