Outlook prompting for password

One of my co-workers, running Vista and Outlook 2007, has episodes where Outlook constantly prompts for his password to the mail server, even though his email account has been setup and the checkbox to “remember password” is checked. Other times, it might run correctly for days, then re-occur for no obvious reason. Any ideas as to how to fix this?
