Outlook Settings

by the young one . Updated 23 years ago

Hi Everyone,

My system is:
XP SP1 Clients with Office XP sp1
Exchange 2000
Windows 2000 AD Native Mode.

I’m patching the Outlook Profiles to the Exchange mailboxes by a setting in the Office XP Resource Kit.

I need to make some settings automatically, thru one of the following methods:

– A Registry Key
– Outlook.PRF file
– Custom Maintainance Wizard
– Group Policy Template

The settings I need to make are:
1. Instead of the Outlook Bar showing, only the folder list is to be displayed.
2. I need users personal contacts to be displayed in the address book (I can do this manually by right clicking on it and setting it as ‘show as an address book’).

I can do these manually, but when I look in the registry to add it to a script, or to modify my Default User Profile, the keys always seem to be located under a GUID key, rendering it useless for another user.

My SOE is 95% done, and these are the last bugs I need to iron out…

Ta muchly.

The Young One.
