Overwritten Data

Please help, a user was saving manually to the server and so yesterday I helped her to synchronise automatically on to the server there is a folder that didn?t synchronise fully she is missing some docs on that folder, we tried running a restore but it seems the data was overwritten is there a way we can restore that data
