OWA 2000 and IIS 5 Problem

by bdavies . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

We recently stood up a new server, Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 2000 Server (both Standard Editions) on an HP ProLiant DL360 G5 Intel Xeon Quad Core E5345 Server. The problem we currently have is that we just finnished switching the bulk of our users mailboxes to this server and everything works great from inside our Intranet. We switched our router (DLink DI704P) to route web traffic to this server and since then we are having trouble with keping the web server responding to Internet web requests. Over the weekend the site was up and running without a problem, but today we started having problems. It appears that after a number of OWA related traffic requests the Web site stops responding to traffic from the firewall, but internal access to the web site is fine. If I change the default gateway IP from the current IP to a different one, save it, then set it back our Web site again responds to Web related traffic from the Internet. For a time.

Any help is appreciated.
