OWA attachment problem

by nortondr . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

I’m having problems receiving attachments using OWA. I can access OWA, but when I try to receive an attachment, I get a 0 Kb file. I have two separate platforms/configurations, one that works and one that does not.
The working config is a front-end IIS 4.0 server on WinNT 4.0, with a back-end Exch 5.5 on WinNT 4.0.

The non-working config is IIS 5.0 on W2K, with a back-end Exch 5.5 on W2K.

I am accessing OWA from behind a firewall proxy. Outside the firewall, or using a static NAT from the inside allows me to receive the attachments on either platform. Once I proxy, the IIS 5.0 fails. I also have a third platform over 443 that works (proxied/unproxied).

I’m suspecting the IIS authentication method. However, when I use plain text/basic autentication on the IIS 5.0 platform, I cannot connect to OWA, much less receive attachments. Windows Integrated authentication allows me to access OWA, but the attachment problem still exists. I’m using Windows Integrated authentication on the IIS 4.0 platform.

Any thoughts?
