I am in the first week of an Exchange 2K/Outlook 2K installation. Previously we were running client installatins of Outlook Express.
Under Outlook express, I could have users set up an additional account under their home outlook express and direct it to our mail server and they could review their in box messages.
With OWA, I can actually log in to the mail server by entering its name followed by /exchange into any browser address line.
I have a user who is using Outlook Express and IE5.5 at home. This user can ping out IP address and can ping by mail server name, yet when he enters the exchange server name followed by /exchange, he receives a “Page can not be displayed” message.
Have checked the setups – cookies are enabled,Java JIT compiler is enabled, have even tried entering the server name in the Security tab under Tools/Options/Security – also removed the “require server verification for all sites” box.
Still nothing allows the user through. I can access the mail account in question from any machine in my office, but he can’t from home….
Being the new to Exchange/Outlook person that I am, I am totally befuddled. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
