P4 vs Xeon

Hi, which one is the best? Can give some suggestions or opinions?

Having some doubts when coming to choose pc for company…See, i need a fast pc for designing purpose (applications used are Autocad and Unigraphic), min requirement is at least P4, 1G RAM and good VGA card.

Currently i have a user who is using P4 1.7G, 256M RAM with OS WIN2K. Problem is he always make noise that the pc is slow in performance. Have checked its Outlook mail, Norton anti-virus, Office XP, all are ok! But then why this happened. (Note: pc is logging on to network)
