Partition problems

I have a Dell computer and am running Windows XP Home Edition and awhile back I had to re-load my windows, and now I have 2 strange partitions on my computer which I didn’t put on there. They are not real big but they are partitions and was told that in order to get rid of them I would have to format my hard drive and re-load XP which is a pain in the butt on a Dell. you have to use the resourse disk to get the drivers back on here and then you have to go to your internet provider to get your internet back on. all in all it’s a mess and I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the partitions (short of just deleting them) which I’m afraid of doing for fear I’ll screw up my computer and still have to re-load windows which I don’t want to do.
I went into Disk management and found the partitions. One is my NTFS drive C:\ and the second one says Healthy EISA configuration and it’s 39 meg and has a FAT configuration and the 3rd one is FAT32 unknown partition and is 3 GB.
I hope this makes sense to someone. Not sure about stuff like that. have never partitioned my computer.
Susan
