Password List

I had an employee leave the company and he passworded his outlook.pst file. This was done within outlook itself, unfortunately he didn’t leave the password and we need acces to the contacts in that file. I’m sure the password is stored in the password list on that computer, but I do not know where (File or registry) the password list is stored. I can probably purchase commercial software that would retrieve the password, but I thought I would try to find the password list first. We are using Windowss 2000 and Office 2003. Thanks.
