Password protection over the network

We currently have windows 98/95 pc’s which have password protection on the drives so no one from the network can see the drive unless if they have the password, to the drives which are shared.I am currently facing someproblems with the windows XP home edition as we dont have any server based system its just peer – peer based system . So the windows Xp is preinstalled in the new pc’s which we have bought DEll dimension 4300 . So if i want to share the drive in the new pcs all the other computerscan see the shared drive . I would like to knw is there a way out to this problem of sharing issue in the windows Xp as the drives are in NTFS file system format .
