I have a Windows XP desktop and an iBook G4 wireless laptop that currently share an internet connection via Lynksys WRT54G.
We are going on the road for about a year, and want to go mobile with our Internet. Sprint offered me a Linksys WRT54G3G-ST router with a PC card that fits into the router for Internet sharing. The problem is, if I just want to take my laptop somewhere, I have to drag the router with me since my iBook G4 does not have a slot for the card. They couldn’t think of another way for me to share the connection.
Sprint has a USB PC card, which would fit into both computers. Could I put the USB card into the desktop and use a Linksys WRT54GS router to share the connection between PC and my wireless Mac? The Sprint specialist didn’t know, as they do not sell this router.
Can you think of a better way?
Thanks for any help. Jb97link
