PC to PC transfer = 1GHzbps

I am tranfering data between two laptops running Win7 and using direct ethernet connection 10/100/1000 Base-T
The problem is that I am getting a maximum throughput of 20 Mbps far from the 1000 limit. Does any body knows where is the bottleneck???
